Welcome to the Academy.......
The Amanda Restell Academy of Dance is one of Essex's premier dancing schools.

Founded in 1994 by Amanda Restell in Leigh-on-Sea, the Academy has grown tremendously and now boasts in excess of 700 pupils and some of the best teaching staff available. Despite the size, everything about the Academy has the personal touch to ensure the pupils are all treated with the care and focus they each deserve.

The Academy teaches IDTA syllabi and RAD Ballet. These two governing bodies are world leaders in dance education and at the forefront of dance for both performers and teachers. It is also CDET accredited, which is only awarded to professionally and responsibly run dancing schools.

In addition to Amanda herself, the teaching faculty includes 4 other fully qualified teachers and 3 admin staff all of whom are kept very busy by the wide range of subjects and large numbers of pupils.

Classes are offered for all ages from approximately 2.5 years upwards and for both sexes. It is never too late to learn.

The ethos is always one of enjoyment. Not everyone wants to be on the West End stage so Amanda ensures everyone achieves their potential but in an enjoyable way. The Academy also prides itself in being able to accommodate all regardless of abiliity or needs. Our motto is 'Giving Every Little Star The Chance To Shine'.

The approach seems to work as many pupils, right from the very first lessons Amanda taught, still come back for lessons or just to say hello. The Amanda Restell Academy of Dance is a very large family indeed!
