The Murilova Ballet School offers classical ballet training, strong in technique and musicality as well as being fun. Pupils in the school are encouraged to take ballet examinations and those who attend private lessons are additionally able to take medal tests. An N.A.T.D examiner visits the school each year for a weekend in February and the school boasts a 100 per cent pass rate.

Some pupils compete in the All England Dance Festival and have enjoyed much success in the Finals at the Sadlers Wells Theatre, London. An annual prize-giving display for all pupils provides parents with the opportunity to see the work of the school. Every two years, Sandra McAuliffe choreographs a full-length classical ballet involving all pupils from Grade 1 upwards to be performed at the Layard Theatre, Canford School, in aid of charity.

Many pupils leave the school to pursue full-time courses at University or Theatre School and go on to dance professionally in this country and abroad. Others use the training they have received in other fields such as television, teaching, physiotherapy etc. Whatever career a pupil chooses, the training that they receive at the Murilova Ballet School will enable them to have an everlasting appreciation of dance and gain in confidence, musicality, discipline and poise.
