Established in 1900 and set in beautiful English countryside in Somerset, overlooking Glastonbury Tor, Bruton School for Girls is a day school for girls and boys aged 2 – 7 and a day and boarding school for girls aged 7 – 18.
The school is one of only 27 schools in the country and the only one in the South West to hold the Eco Schools Ambassador Award, demonstrating green issues and sustainability embedded into the ethos of the school.
We offer excellence in education and superb pastoral care with core values. Not only do we add value in terms of a wide variety of extra-curricular activities with excellent facilities within the school, enhancing creativity through community art and eco links, we also add value in terms of excellence in academic results, adding on average, across every subject, approximately one grade to each girl’s predicted performance and the vast majority go on to their first choice university.
